His compositions were played, among others ensembles, orchestras and soloist, by Contrechamps, Vortex, Accroche Note, KDM, Phoenix, OSF, Cairn, Lucilin, Distractfold, Wet Ink, L’imaginaire, S.I.C., Sillages, Les solistes de Lyon, Reconsil, Vertixe Sonora; Françoise Rivalland, Donatienne Michel-Dansac, Mauricio Carrasco, Béatrice Zawodnik; on festivals such as Musica, Archipel, BIFEM, MIA, Voix nouvelles, Mixtur, St Petersburg International New Music Festival, among many others. He received commands on behalf of the foundations Royaumont, Mika Salabert, Radio France, Liechti, Nestlé, Nicati de Luze, French Ministry of Culture, Festival des voix de Prieuré, Teatro Colón, and prizes and scholarships of the state of Geneva and the Patiño Swiss Foundation. Fernando Garnero is founder and Artistic co-director of Swiss ensemble Vortex, part of Vortex Project, a composers and performers collective of new music based in Geneva. He currently lives in Paris.
