Jose Luis Valdivia Arias

Born in Granada in 1994, J.L. Valdivia Arias studied at Codarts - University of the Arts in the Netherlands and at the Royal College of Music in London. Tanglewood Composing Fellow 2023. He won the II Price of the 3rd International Composer Competition “New Music Generation 2021”. His music has been premiered by the Tonkünstler Orchestra, conducted by J.L. Valdivia Arias himself in Grafenegg. He has been awarded with the Spanish National prize for young composers SGAE/CNDM. He has been performed by the Doelen Ensemble in Rotterdam and by the ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin in Spain and Luxembourg.
